Sárvári], hereinafter as “data controller”) operates this website (“Site”). This page
informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal
Information we receive from or collect of users of the Site.
When you access information provided on the Site, you acknowledge your agreement to
these Terms of Usage.
The Site provides information regarding our activities and the activities of partners and
members relevant to the business community. The Canadian Chamber assumes no
either direct or indirect responsibility for the any products or services provided to you by
third parties. Moreover, you agree that use of this site or participation in activities
promoted or organized by the Canadian Chamber is done so entirely at your own risk.
We may use your Personal Information only for the purposes listen in this policy. By
using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of Personal Information in accordance
with this policy.
Log Data
Like many site operators, we automatically collect information that your browser sends
whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as
your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the
pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those
pages and other statistics, device information.
We use this data to make our Site more user-friendly and for statistical and security
purposes. We do not link this data to any Personal Information you may provide. Data
retention period: 7 days. Beyond that, the data will only be stored if we become aware of

is related to the achievement of the above-mentioned purposes (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Events
If you sign up for one of our events, we ask you to provide certain Personal Information
(e.g. name, email address), which are necessary for administering and ensuring your
participation (GDPR 6(1)b)). If we issue an in
voice to you, we shall process your name and address (GDPR 6(1)c)).
Membership
If you apply for membership through the form on our Site, we ask you to provide your
Personal Information (name, address, email, phone). Further, we automatically collect
the time of your application. We process this information to administer your
membership application (GDPR 6(1)b)).
Newsletter
If you decide to subscribe to our newsletter, we will ask you to provide your email
address. In this case, by subscribing, you expressly consent to the data controller
sending you informational and marketing content to the email address you provided. We
store and use this personal data solely for the purpose of sending our newsletter. The
legal basis for data processing in this case is your consent, which you give when you
subscribe (GDPR 6(1)a)).
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link at the end of the
newsletter or by sending an email to the data controller. In this case, we will immediately
delete your newsletter-related data.
Embedded content from other websites
The Site may contain links to external sources and embedded content (e.g. videos,
images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from external sources behaves as if you had
visited another website. These websites may collect data about visitors, use cookies or
third-party tracking codes, and monitor user behavior related to embedded content if
you have a user account and are logged in to the site. The data controller is not
responsible for the data processing practices of such websites, which are governed by

Company in accordance with its own data processing rules. If you do not want LinkedIn

The Site contains links to Facebook and Instagram social media pages (Facebook button
and Instagram button). If visitors click on the Facebook button or Instagram button on
the Site, their personal data will be processed in accordance with Meta Platforms Inc.’s
own data processing rules. If you do not want Meta to process your personal data,
please do not click on the Facebook button or Instagram button on our Site.
The Site contain a Youtube button. If you click on the YouTube button or on a YouTube
video on the Site, your personal data will be processed by Google LLC in accordance
with its own data processing rules. If you do not want your personal data to be
processed by Google, please do not click on YouTube videos on our Site.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Data processors engaged by the data controller may have access to Personal
Information in order to fulfill their contractual obligations. Data processors undertake, in
a contract pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR, to take the necessary organizational,
technical, and security measures in relation to the protection of Personal Information.
The data controller uses the following data processors: hosting provider, newsletter
delivery.
Otherwise, the data controller shall only transfer your personal data to third parties if it
has a legal basis for doing so (e.g. if the transfer of data is required by law (GDPR 6(1)(c))
or if the transfer of data is necessary for the enforcement of a legal claim (GDPR 6(1)(f)).
Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, however, no method of
transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While
we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information,
we cannot guarantee its absolute security and assume no responsibility for any loss of
information or any damages that you may incur directly or indirectly as a result of the
usage of the Site.
Data subjects’ rights
Right to information: the data subject may request information about the processing of
data concerning him or her at any time. The request for information may cover the data
processed by the data controller, their source, the purpose, legal basis and duration of

controller restrict the processing of data, as set out in Article 18 of the GDPR.
Right to data portability: the data subject has the right to receive the personal data
concerning him or her, which he or she has provided to the data controller, in a
structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to have the data
controller transmit those data to another data controller, if the processing is based on
consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means.
Right to object: the data subject has the right to object, on grounds relating to his or her
particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning him or her, except
where the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out for reasons
of public interest or for reasons of official authority vested in the data controller.
Right to complain: You may contact the data controller with any questions or comments
regarding data processing at the contact details specified in point 1. The data subject
has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority regarding our data

rights of the data subject, he or she may also turn to the court (the adjudication of the
case falls within the jurisdiction of the court. The case may be brought before the court
of the place of residence or domicile of the data subject, at the discretion of the data

stored in a secure place. For this reason, our data storage and transmission systems
use encryption.
