This year’s Bison & Salmon Night will feature a fireside chat between Chamber President Nicholas Sarvari and Áron Timár, the creator behind The Price of a Vote — the groundbreaking documentary that exposed rural vote-buying in Hungary and mobilized thousands of citizens to serve as election observers during the April 2026 parliamentary election. 

Áron will share insights from his work on the film, the nationwide monitoring operation it inspired, and what both revealed about Hungary’s political landscape. The conversation will then explore a question highly relevant to international business in Hungary: What role can bilateral business organizations and the private sector play in supporting civil society.
