A career long Foreign Service Officer for Global Affairs Canada, accepted her final posting with grace and dignity on November 8, 2017 in Ottawa. Anyone who met Jennifer could not help but be impressed by her positive outlook on life and her wonderful joie de vivre! She was raised in Cambridge, Ontario, a community her family had lived in for generations.
After graduating from Trent University (BA, honours) and Carleton University (Masters of Public Administration), Jennifer was immediately hired by Industry Canada and put on the Poultry file! Soon confirming that this was not her life’s calling, she transferred to Global Affairs as a Commercial Trade Officer. She was lucky enough to serve Canadian interests in Rome, Geneva, Moscow, Sub-Saharan Africa, Budapest and Atlanta. On a summer break at her cherished family cottage on Lake Huron, she connected with the love of her life, Jeff Murray. Together they shared life abroad and generously welcomed family and friends to visit at every opportunity.
Predeceased by her beloved father, H.Bennett Rosebrugh. Loved and missed by her husband Jeff Murray, mother, Patricia Orange Rosebrugh, aunt, Nancy Orange Birch of Claremont, California, brother Jeff Rosebrugh (Dr. Anne Galipeau) and by treasured niece Maya.Fondly remembered by sister in law Catherine Murray and family.
Her many friends’ and colleagues’ lives were enriched for knowing her. Jennifer’s wish would be for people to tell those they care for how much they love them and to reach out to those in need.
A gathering of her friends to be held at the Lindenlea Community Centre, 15 Rockcliffe Way, Ottawa, on Saturday December 2nd, 2-5 pm. (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION).
Jennifer was a proud member of Amnesty International and Heritage Ottawa.
